At one point, Weidler is riding along on her motorized scooter through city streets to keep up with Holt and help solve crimes. Tim Holt and Ace the Wonder Dog fight crime and provide the dramatic scenes and 13-year-old Virginia Weidler provides the comedy. A neat scene where lightning the horse helps Tim. Running 61 minutes, The Rookie Cop is a brief and enjoyable film that movies quickly. There's some good conflict, and a few vigorous fistfight. Tim Holt rides again in this action-packed three disc, nine movie collection that gives Western fans a chance to saddle up with Tim across more than a decades span of sagebrush sagas. This gunslinging 5-Disc, 10-Movie Collection showcases the middle years (1943-1950) of that memorable 14-year span. At first, Brodie's first killing is in self-defence, the second one not so. Get back in the saddle for more thundering movie excitement spotlighting genre stalwart Tim Holt, star of more than 40 'B' Westerns made for RKO between 19. Steve, who's been financing his gambling addiction with money from his fiancée, is convinced by Tim to give himself up for trial. Roach died of pneumonia in March of '72 Holt was stricken with cancer in August '72 and died in February of 1973.Bad boy Steve Taylor is pulled out of a saloon by his brother Tim after Steve kills cheating poker player Hoyt Parker in self defense. Coincidentally, the two roommates died within months of each other. Roach was the Captain of what was arguably CMA's greatest football team in the fall of '36, when they went undefeated and outscored opponents, 223-6. '37, scion of another famous Hollywood family, who went on to a career producing movies and operating several studios. His roommate during his two years was Hal Roach, Jr. He was in Culver's famed Black Horse Troop.
